The resort is so beautiful!!! And I am glad that is possible because customer service at their corp.is crazy. They know when to be nice (when they need payment) and then when to be nice (when they need payment). I have gotten hung up on many of times, told that I'm not communicating with the right individual about my account. I have been with them for over 8 years and if i wasn't so close to being "invested", I would have gladly paid the $300 cancellation fee. LAKE VIEW YOU MAY WANT TO RE-EVALUATE YOUR CUSTOMER SERVICE BECAUSE SERVICE IS VERY IMPORTANT TO KEEP ANY BUSINESS SUCCESSFUL....

Signing on to Lakewood "resort" six years ago, basically at a cost of $6,000 initially, and then $350 per year for "maintenance" and then $240 per year for storage and then $1400 per year to "buy our time out". Quite expensive when you add it all together, meaning we have given this "resort" $17,940 to camp over those last 6 years. However, it was nice that we lived several hours away and we could leave our camper in our spot for 7 months out of the year and had multiple friends that were members.

Love this place! My wife and I own a camper and have been members here for 6 years. We've made tons of friends here that we enjoy camping with each summer. With the membership we get the chance to stay in other parks when we travel around the US, that's definitely a big perk for us. There's always something for the grandkids to do when they come with us as well, lots of summer fun activities. Great park, look forward to visiting every year!

Put it this way held hostage for 3 hours I won a fake vacation and some gift cards from places I never heard of they sent me a key to try and win a truck and I would get to try it on a real truck when they were done with there little presentation they took us in the back and gave me a key to try to when a truck except there was no truck just some plastic box with a lock on it and if your key fits the lock you win the grand prize lol when I told the manager or who ever is in charge of the liars out on the floor that me and my wife need to talk it over and we would contact them. Then the manager threw a little baby fit and slammed his hand down on the table and said well "maybe this is not for you "he said it like he wanted to fight me when you tell them you need some time to think it over there true colors come out then everyone started being rude the manager just got up and left without saying anything and then the guy who was giving the presentation started being rude I felt like I was honestly going to have to fight them to leave that's how hostel they got my sales man shoved our fake gifts at. Us and said bye and then walked off they messed up a sale because I was really considering being a member thank you Jesus I didn't I was not going to post anything but the more the days go on the more pissed I'm getting so I decided to buy a space in the newspapers whithin 60 miles of our house letting people know about this company and putting a sign in my yard telling every body that drives what criminals they are I'm not usually the type of person who would complain but this is personal I had my family with me and they acted like that I honestly thought they were going to try and jump me in the parking lot that's how crazy they acted. If you go remember to bring a baby bottle and a blanket for the manager when he throws his little cry baby tantram

Overall awesome experience! We don't have a camper but we love to stay in the cabins. There's always lots of family events and such going on in the summer. I myself just enjoy grilling out and fishing on one of the several ponds. Also, indoor pool. And hot tub. Yeah, that really puts the icing on the cake. Fun camping and resort experience that my whole family enjoys; doesn't get any better than that!

This place isn’t interested in fixing things. Isn't interested in member services. This place is interested in 1 thing.... selling memberships, in hopes that you don’t actually use it.

All members were made to go to a mandatory meeting to "review our contract". In the meantime the power went out at our camper. Turns out that they had a short and electric went out to 10 spots and ended up melting my campers plug. They fixed it by placing cones at the effected spots. We went to move to a different spot to learn that; those spots the water is broken; those spots the sewer is blocked up; those spots the electric is out.... They did though paint and put new decking around the sales building were they do tours.

PS: 3 months later, there are still cones at all the broken spots, but the tours building looks spectacular.

Adding all that up, we decided to "walk away", as Corey put it, and so did most of our friends. Especially the ones that come up from the south in the summer. What exactly are they supposed to do during their 5 days out every week? Stay in the Walmart Parking lot?

In our meeting were told by a salesman Sean, and then the lead salesmen Corey that, "Arrowhead has nothing to do with Lakeshore" and that we "must sign" a new contract with Arrowhead or we would "loose out". Our old contract "is worthless" because "there is no Lakewood anymore", they said. Also, in this new contract there are a "few changes" like; you can only camp for 7 day in a row, then you have to pull out for 5 days; you must be at your camper every day; you have to call in for a reservation (even though you are a privet member); the cost of storage is over doubling; and a few other gems. But, if we do sign with them, if I give them an extra $4000, I can camp at one of their other resorts... 6 hours away..

Bring in the new owners in August 2016 and change the name to "Arrowhead".
